Women honoured

The Oktoberfest spotlight was shining brightly last night on a number of impressive local women.

They were honoured at the K-W Oktoberfest Rogers Women of the Year awards gala held at St. George Banquet Hall in Waterloo.

Over 60 women were nominated in several categories.

The Arts and Culture award, sponsored by 570 News and our sister stations CHYM FM and KIX 106, was presented to Isabel Cisterna.

She is the artistic director of Neruda Productions which promotes art, music and dance.
