Mar 13, 2010 07:33:49 AM
A sold-out crowd of 60-thousand packed B-C Place Stadium in Vancouver for the opening ceremonies of 2010 Paralympic Games.
Governor General Michaelle Jean officially declared the games open, just as she did four weeks ago for the Winter Olympics.
The Canadian contingent of 55 athletes was led by Jean Labonte, captain of this country's sledge hockey team.
Over the next eight days, more than a-thousand Paralymians from 40 countries will compete.
