THE CANADIAN PRESS Mar 12, 2010 16:46:21 PM

LONGUEUIL, Que. - A soccer coach near Montreal has pleaded guilty to 26 sexual-assault charges on 13 young male players.

Thierry Massimo, who is in his early 40s, entered the pleas in a courtroom in Longueuil Friday.

The charges involve luring children on the Internet and having them engage in various acts including fellatio and masturbation.

The players were aged between 12 and 16, with three of them being abused over a lengthy period.

Massimo's assaults took place in his car and in hotel rooms before and after games between 2001 and 2009.

Crown prosecutors are expected to seek a prison term of between five and eight years when sentencing arguments are heard in Longueuil on June 7.
