570 News Aug 25, 2010 14:18:38 PM
Almost five years to the day later, Wellington County OPP are set to update the case of human remains found near Guelph.

The OPP will hold a special news conference Thursday morning at 10 a.m. to update the investigation into the August 28th, 2005 discovery of female remains at a camping area west of Rockwood.

Constable Mark Cloes says the remains were identified as those of a female, about 5'6" tall, between 25 and 45 years old, and officers have been investigating ever since.

Cloes says since then tips have been coming in from the Unsolved Homicide Investigation Team, and investigators have been coordinating with the Missing Persons Unidentified Bodies Unit.

Cloes says Thursday's update will hopefully refresh the case in everyone's mind and help to identify the remains.

570 News will be at the update and will provide all the details as soon as possible.
