The Waterloo Regional Police fraud branch is investigating complaints from homeowners about sub-standard renovation work.
Between July 22nd and the 26th, residents in the Fairway and Courtland area of Kitchener were approached by a man offering masonry work and asphalt resurfacing.
The invoice had no business number and the victims were asked to pay with cash.
The work turned out to be poorly done and when customers tried to contact the company, messages were not returned.
Police are warning the public to be careful when approached by strangers offering their services.
