Local professor win political writing prize

A former MP and history professor at the Univeristy of Waterloo has nabbed the $25,000 Shaughnessy Cohen Prize for Political Writing.
John English won the honour for his latest biography on "Just Watch Me: The Life of Pierre Elliott Trudeau."
He was awarded last night at the Politics and the Pen gala in Ottawa.
The Shaughnessy Cohen Prize, established in honour of the late MP from Windsor is awarded annually to a non-fiction book about a political subject of interest to Canadian readers.
