570 News Mar 10, 2010 03:49:47 AM
A Waterloo man has been charged following a crash on Highway 6 North that sent a woman to hospital with life-threatening injuries.
OPP say the crash happened around 3:30 yesterday afternoon.
A 31-year-old Hamilton woman had braked to turn into a private residence off the highway, when she was struck by a minivan. Police say the bike was hit with such force it became imbedded in the van's front end.
32-year-old James Armstrong, the driver of the minivan, has been charged with Careless Driving. He was not injured in the crash.
The woman remains in Hamilton General Hospital in serious condition.
