Federal Election 2011 results

The Conservatives have won a majority government and the NDP will form the Official Opposition.

570 News and Rogers TV brought you The Local Results live on the air on Monday night as the landscape remained the same in Waterloo Region.

As far as how many people in the Region exercised their right, according to the Elections Canada website voter turnout for Waterloo Region was 63.3% last night as just over 224-thousand people voted. 

In Guelph almost 60-thousand voters cast their ballot - translating to a voter turnout of 64.8%
