Police investigate cause of barn fire

 
An investigation continues into an early morning barn fire in Wellesley township...

It happened around 6 o'clock this morning on Notre Dame Drive... 
Regional police tell 570 News that a tenant on the property suffered minor injuries.. and there were no animals in the barn at the time of the blaze...

Several storage vehicles were destroyed.
A damage estimate has not yet been determined.

Waterloo - Home owners in Waterloo will see an extra 14 dollars on their property tax bills next year.

Councillors decided on a 1.57 percent tax increase during budget talks Monday.

In 2007, when the city of Waterloo came up with its three year budget, Councillor Ian McLean says it put the tax rate increase for 2010 at 3.3 percent.

Open Text has unveiled plans for a $20-million dollar expansion.

A new five-storey building at the company's headquarters near Columbia and Hagey in Waterloo will more than double the office space.

The building should be completed in the summer of 2011.
