A handful of faculty and staff protested the recent staff cuts at Wilfrid Laurier University.
The protest, held in the concourse, saw staff and students upset by the recent layoffs, with some shouting angrily.
Others chose to speak fondly of teachers and staff they used to admire who have since been let go.
Students are wearing black ribbons to mourn the loss of staff.
Immediately following the protest, students marched to the Students’ Union Office and sat in the office area, demanding to speak with executive producers at the school.
