GOOD SAMARITAN OF THE WEEK AWARD
Do you know an outstanding individual? Someone who has had an impact in the lives of others? This inspirational person has shown leadership, commitment, and initiative. Their countless hours of volunteering makes a difference in the community.
This week's Good Samaritan is Bridget Speek.
Bridget and her family came to the aid of neighbours, whose young daughter was diagnosed with cancer. They made sure this little girl was included in all of their outings, and after she lost her battle with the disease, Bridget's family continued to help out the girl's parents. Bridget has organized a variety of fundraisers for cancer research and has also completed the 60KM walk for the cure.
