Guelph Police continue to investigate after man’s body found in Speed River

Guelph Police continue to investigate after a body was discovered in the Speed River on Wednesday.

Officers were called to the Arthur and Wellington Street area around 9:20 p.m., after a passerby spotted a body floating in the River.

On Friday, police identified the victim as 64-year-old Richard Jelly of Guelph.

No other details have been released, and they say their investigation is ongoing.
