Brantford initiative ‘Just F’ing Vote’ hopes to encourage millennials to head to the polls

With just under a week left until we head to the polls, a unique initiative from Brantford hopes you Just F’ing Vote.

The cheeky educational campaign is looking to increase voter turnout by 10%.

Just F’ing Vote is working to encourage millennials to get out and vote with an edgy and educational spin.

Lucas Duguid with Just F’ing Vote says when they launched their educational tool they noticed a lack in the millennial vote.

“We started asking questions why, we just wanted to dig a little deeper,” says Duguid. “What we found was just a simple knowledge gap, and there was an authentic fear or a little bit of embarrassment about being the person to put their hand up and say ‘I don’t know.'”

He says they don’t care who you vote for, but want to make sure everyone is exercising their right to vote.

Just F’ing Vote also offers a number of educational videos and social media posts explaining the ins and outs of elections.
