Hamilton takes advantage in OHL Final

Brandon Saigeon scored twice as the Hamilton Bulldogs beat the Sault Ste. Marie Greyhounds 6-5 on Monday in Game 3 of the Ontario Hockey League final.

Marian Studenic’s goal at 17:02 of the third period stood up as the winner for Hamilton, which holds a 2-1 lead in the series and hosts Game 4 on Wednesday.

Nicholas Caamano, Arthur Kaliyev and Will Bitten also scored for the Bulldogs while Ryan Moore and Riley Stillman each chipped in with three assists.

Tim Gettinger struck twice as Joe Carroll, Jack Kopacka and Morgan Frost added the others for the Greyhounds. Boris Katchouk had three helpers.

Kaden Fulcher made 28 saves for Hamilton. Matthew Villalta kicked out 27 shots for Sault Ste. Marie.

The Bulldogs went 1 for 2 on the power play while the Greyhounds went 2 for 6 with the man advantage.
