Local driver charged in spin out crash in Guelph

A driver from Waterloo police allege caused another vehicle to spin out of control in Guelph has since been charged with impaired driving.

Guelph Police say a Mazda travelling southbound on Edinburgh Road around 2:30 a.m., Friday, suddenly swerved into oncoming traffic.

A northbound vehicle was struck and spun out near Kortright Road.

It’s estimated the collision caused $10,000 worth of damage, but fortunately no one was seriously hurt.

The driver of the Mazda — a 22-year-old Waterloo man — is now charged.
