Weapons, drugs and a stolen vehicle seized in Guelph

Knives, ammunition, meth and fentanyl — those are just some of the things seized through a stolen vehicle investigation in Guelph.

Guelph Police say two cars were spotted in the Dublin Street and Waterloo Avenue area Thursday around 11 p.m., and one of them was flagged as stolen.

When officers approached the pair, the other car sped away — but after a brief struggle, they were able to apprehend the suspected thieving driver.

Through a search, police allegedly found numerous drugs and weapons, and over $10,000 in cash.

Some of the other contraband seized includes scales, replica handguns, cocaine and weed.

A 38-year-old Guelph man has been arrested and charged.
