Charges pending after pedestrian hit in Cambridge

Regional Police say charges are pending after a pedestrian was struck while crossing the road in Cambridge.

Officers were called to the intersection of Dundas Street and Hespeler Road on Wednesday afternoon, around 1:10 p.m.

It’s alleged a grey Nissan was travelling in the right turn lane, when the driver hit a 30-year-old Cambridge man who was walking across the roadway.

The victim was taken to a Hamilton hospital with serious injuries, and there’s no word on his current condition.

Police say their Traffic Branch continues to investigate the collision, and charges are expected to be laid.
