A 20-year-old faces impaired driving charges after a fatal crash in Perth East.
Provincial police say the single-vehicle crash happened Friday night on Perth Road 131, between Perth Line 80 and Line 83.
Firefighters had to extricate the passenger out of the car – but he was pronounced dead at the scene. OPP have now identified the victim as 24-year-old Gary Kuepfer of Minto Township.
Through an investigation, officers have laid charges against the driver of the vehicle.
20-year-old Carl Kuepfer of Wellington North Township has been charged with impaired operation of a motor vehicle causing death, and over 80 milligrams of alcohol in the blood causing death.
