Kitchener’s Nic Hague has been reassigned by the NHL’s Vegas Golden Knights to the Chicago Wolves of the AHL.
The 19-year-old defenceman and the Mississauga Steelheads were eliminated from the OHL playoffs on Sunday.
He had a stellar regular season with the Steelheads, ending the campaign with 35 goals and 43 assists. He racked up four assists in six playoff games.
Hague signed an entry-level deal with Vegas in September. He was a second round pick of the Golden Knights in the 2017 NHL Draft.
Chicago’s next game is Friday night at Iowa.
