Hospitals in K-W to receive over $11M, Cambridge gets nearly $2M

Hospitals in Kitchener-Waterloo will receive $11.62-million from the province.

The province say it is an increase of 4.6 per cent.

Kitchener-Centre MPP Daiene Vernile made the announcement at St. Mary’s General Hospital on Friday morning and says the funding will provide better access to care, reduce wait times
and address capacity issues.

It is part of province wide announcement of $822-million.

A funding announcement was also made at Cambridge Memorial Hospital.

MPP Kathryn McGarry says Ontario is investing an additional $1.99-million in CMH. Last year, the province increased funding by $1.8-million.
