Students at UW stage walkout for mental health

A large rally in support of mental health services was held at the University of Waterloo today in response to the first suicide on campus this year.
A few hundred students came out to lend their voices, and share their stories, in what’s being called the Waterloo Walkout for Menthal Health.

Rally organizer Kai Butterfield, had a lot to say.
“I want to push the boundaries of what it looks like to be an empathetic human being, so that when Sarah is harmed, she get’s help. That’s what innovation looks like to me.”

Many students were carrying signs saying things like, “”Make Mental Health a Priority!”
