Pro-choice activist hit with red paint, called “Murderer”; WRPS call it a hate crime

Regional Police say the case of a woman getting hit with red paint and being called a murderer is being treated as a hate crime.

They say it happened at noon on Tuesday this week, while the woman was walking in the Charles and Borden area in Kitchener.

The woman is a pro-choice advocate, and police say an unknown male came up to her, threw red paint at her, and yelled, “Murderer!” at her.

She suffered only minor physical injuries.

Investigators from the Regional Police Intelligence Branch are joining in on this case.
