A Waterloo Regional Police officer will once again spend a lot of time on his bike in order to help out a Kitchener hospital.
Sergeant Peter Viol announced over the weekend his 3,000 km cycling journey will start in May.
He will head to Alabama, through the Appalachians, then back into Ontario.
Funds raised from the “2018 Appalachian Heartbeat Tour” will go to the Regional Cardiac Care Centre at St. Mary’s Hospital.
In 2017, Viol cycled from Vancouver back to Waterloo Region. He raised $31,000 for the Cardiac Centre.
