Wynne talks free trade in DC at National Governors Association Winter Meeting

Premier Kathleen Wynne has a busy day of meetings planned today as she heads to Washington, D-C for the National Governors Association Winter Meeting.

Wynne will advocate for free trade with Ontario as she meets with key governors, including Kentucky’s Matt Bevin and Michigan’s Rick Snyder.

She will also join Quebec Premier Philippe Couillard during meetings with the governors of Oregon, Virginia and Maryland.

Wynne will participate in two panel discussions and plans to sit down with Steve Clemons, who is Washington Editor-at-Large of The Atlantic.

They are expected to discuss the importance of bilateral trade to the Ontario economy, the role of a modernized NAFTA, progressive policy and the state of leadership today.
