One woman has been sent to hospital, and another could be still missing after a water rescue on the Grand River early this morning.
Grand Valley Fire says they received a call just before 1 AM about a motor vehicle floating down the river in the village of Waldemar, just west of Orangeville.
Grand Valley Fire Chief Kevin McNealy says the vehicle was eventually found downstream.
“We called in Centre Wellington Water Rescue team to help us, once they arrived on scene their team was able to locate the van.”
McNealy says it hasn’t confirmed whether or not a second person may have been in the vehicle.
Dufferin County OPP has since taken over the investigation.
