Flooding in New Hamburg fills streets with water

At some point Tuesday water spilled over the banks of the Nith River flooding large sections of New Hamburg.
The baseball fields and race track at the Community Centre were completely washed out.
Nearby Asmus Street was also completely washed out.
Serious flooding can also be seen at the Sobeys’s and Beer Store as a powerful surge of water pushed past the Huron Street bridge.
In total 16 roadways in New Hamburg and Wilmot Township were closed due to flooding.
