A big name in the Ontario PC leadership race could find herself on a local ballot in the upcoming Ontario election.

Candidate Christine Elliott confirms to 570 NEWS she is exploring Cambridge as a place to run for the June vote.

She confirmed the rumours during a caucus meeting at Maxwells in Waterloo Tuesday evening, but adds, no final decision has been made.

Whoever runs for the Tories in Cambridge will have to run against Liberal incumbent Kathryn McGarry, who was recently named Ontario’s transportation minister.
