Rangers host Hounds, a team with plenty of bark

The Soo Greyhounds have not lost a game in seven weeks.

Their last loss was in Sarnia on Friday, October 27th. Since then, the West leading Hounds have won 18 straight games.

Included in that stretch was an 8-2 romp over the Rangers in the Soo on November 24th.

Waterloo’s Boris Katchouk put up four points in that one, but the good news is Kitchener won’t have to deal with the Tampa Bay Lightning prospect and 27 goal man on Friday.

Katchouk is at Canada’s World Junior selection camp along with Soo teammate Conor Timmins.

Meantime, Rangers defender Logan Stanley is expected back in the line-up as he was one of six players released by Hockey Canada on Thursday night.

The East Avenue Blue will be looking to extend their winning streak to three games.

Mike Farwell and Chris Pope have the pre-game show at 7 p.m. on 570 NEWS.

Kitchener is then home to Kingston on Sunday afternoon in their final game before the Christmas break.
