Windsor spoiled Kitchener’s Teddy Bear toss on Tuesday, so the Rangers decided to do the same to Guelph.
Cole Carter scored his first hat trick in the OHL as the Rangers demolished the Storm 10-3 on Sunday afternoon at the Sleeman Centre.
“Honestly…I was happy with the second goal, but I was just playing the right way. I wasn’t really thinking about a hat trick. I think it all started with getting back in my own zone, making the right plays in the D-zone and working up in the offensive zone.”
Eight different Kitchener skaters would score including Adam Liska and Adam Mascherin.
Liska had a goal and three assists and Mascherin’s goal means the Florida Panthers prospect has scored in seven straight games.
Luke Richardson made 25 saves for his 13th win of the season.
The Rangers have just two more games before the Christmas break, On Friday, they host the Soo and Kingston is here on Sunday afternoon.
