Elora woman fighting for her life, after drunk driver crashes near Belwood

Wellington County OPP say a 23-year-old woman is fighting for her life in hospital, after getting into a car with an accused drunk driver.
Police say she was the passenger in a sedan that lost control and crashed very early Saturday morning near Belwood.
Fire and EMS responded to the single-vehicle collision on Sideroad 9 around 4:30 a.m.
OPP say the Elora woman was air lifted to a trauma centre, and is currently in grave condition.
The driver, a 30-year-old Arthur man, is now facing a charge of impaired driving causing bodily harm or death.
He’ll make a court appearance in Guelph in January.
