Man armed with knife threatens construction worker in Cambridge

Police are investigating after a construction worker was threatened by a man with a knife in Cambridge.

They say it happened around 8:40 a.m. Thursday at a construction site at 1145 Langs Drive.

A Kitchener man was working at the site, when a suspect holding a knife approached him.

The worker continuously asked him to leave, but the male suspect refused for some time, before ultimately taking off.

Police say the man wasn’t injured, and the suspect was last seen walking south down Concession Road.

He’s described as being clean shaven, around 5’10”, 230 pounds, with a heavy build. He was last seen wearing baggy black pants, a black zip-up hoodie, black winter toque, and dark-coloured shoes that were worn half off with his heels exposed.

Anyone with information is urged to contact Regional Police at 519-570-9777 ext. 2299 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
