A lengthy police standoff in Stratford finally came to an end early this morning.
Friday afternoon Stratford Police were asking people to avoid the Downie Street area, as they were dealing with an ‘active situation’.
That situation was a barricaded male, and police say officers began negotiating with him around 2 p.m.
A second man was inside of the home as well, but managed to free himself, and was safely taken into custody.
Police say after nine hours, the 37-year-old Stratford man exited the home.
No one was injured in the incident, and the investigation is ongoing.
