A Guelph man has been charged after a police officer was exposed to suspected fentanyl while investigating a crash.
Guelph Police say it happened when the officer was responding to a crash at Speedvale and Woolwich on September 27.
The officer found a pile of white powder inside one of the vehicles, and was subsequently taken to a Guelph hospital to be treated and tested.
Police believe the drug may have been fentanyl, and have since sent it out to Health Canada for further analysis.
