Police search for driver after crash with motorcycle at Queen and Bethel

A motorcyclist was taken to the hospital with injuries after a crash at a busy intersection in Wilmot.

Regional Police tell 570NEWS it happened around 11:30 a.m. at Queen and Bethel.

It’s alleged that a car blew through a stop sign, and forced the bike into the ditch.

Police say a 66-year-old Kitchener man was taken to the hospital — but there’s no current word on the extent of his injuries.

Meantime, police say the suspect vehicle fled the scene after the crash and they’re still on the hunt for the driver.

The vehicle is believed to be a dark-coloured car or small SUV, and it was last seen heading westbound on Bethel.

Police say charges are anticipated.

Queen at Bethel reopened around 5 p.m. Friday.
