Waterloo city council wants to hear what residents have to say about a proposed new library on the east side of the city.

The pitch is to locate it at RIM Park.

Council has given the okay to launch a public engagement plan for the project, which is the third phase of the feasibility study.

Council is expected to get the results of the campaign in November.

So far, a needs assessment and a conceptual design have been completed.
