Police looking for man who approached young girls in a Cambridge park

Regional Police were called to a park on Stirling MacGregor Drive in Cambridge on Saturday, after getting reports of a man approaching groups of young girls.

The girls were between the ages of 11 and 12, and police say the man was asking the girls their names, and trying to take photos with them.

When the group attempted to leave, the man grabbed one of the girls by her waist, and again insisted they take photos with him.

They did manage to leave and make it home safely, and no one was injured.

He is described as white, 5′ 8″ tall, in his 30’s, with a thin build and receding hair line. He was also wearing a white “Peterborough Petes” T-shirt, with the words ‘Locked and Loaded’ across the chest. He was also wearing sunglasses, and riding a blue bicycle.

Anyone with information is asked to call police, or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
