Kitchener Rangers goalie and St. Louis Blues prospect Luke Opilka underwent a successful left hip surgery on Saturday.

The surgery was to repair a torn labrum, according to the St. Louis Post-Dispatch.

This isn’t the first hip surgery for Opilika, who had undergone surgery just over a year ago.

Opilka, who was 13-13-1 with a 3.58 goals against average for the Rangers last season, is expected to be sidelined until December.

The Blues picked Opilka in the fifth round of the 2015 NHL draft.
