Beachville man arrested after Woodstock Walmart bomb threat

Shoppers at the Woodstock Walmart had quite the scare, Thursday afternoon.

Constable Nikki Vanleeuwen with Woodstock Police says police received a phone call around 11:40 a.m., from a man who said to the dispatcher that he had a bomb at the big superstore.

Vanleeuwen says the dispatcher tried to ask him questions, like what his name was, but he hung up.

Police responded very quickly to the area, evacuated the building, and did a search of it until they found the man in the store.

He was arrested without incident, and as a result a 30-year-old Beachville man was charged with Public Mischief.
