Cambridge woman charged in connection to suspicious death of Kitchener man

Waterloo Regional Police have arrested a 29-year-old Cambridge woman in connection with the suspicious death of a Kitchener man.

The woman, Desiree McNeil, has been charged with one count of committing an indignity to a body and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Kitchener today for a bail hearing.

The body was discovered in a field in the area of Old Beverly Road and Village Road in North Dumfries Township on July 12, 2017.

A cause of death has not yet been determined, but Regional Police say they do know the man did not die at this location.

Police are waiting for the results of a post-mortem which is being conducted in Hamilton.

Officials believe the death to be suspicious based on the circumstances of where the body was found. They have now put a publication ban in place for the victim’s name.
