GRCA hosting meeting in West Montrose after June’s record rainfall flood

The Grand River Conservation Authority will host a public meeting in West Montrose tonight to discuss the impact of last month’s severe flooding.

The GRCA says the last time West Montrose was hit with that kind of flooding was back in 1974.

The meeting will begin with a presentation by their Director of Engineering, and staff will then take questions from residents.

The GRCA is hoping to discuss the weather event with that community, and get feedback on improvements that could be made.

The meeting is happening at the West Montrose United Church starting at 7 tonight.
