Kitchener bylaw officer stabbed

A Kitchener city by-law officer is recovering after being stabbed in a downtown parking garage.
Police say they received a call yesterday morning about a man trying to break into cars at the garage.
A Kitchener by-law officer confronted the suspect and during a brief fight the suspect stabbed the officer with a multi-tool.
The suspect took off on foot, but was caught and arrested a short time later.
The 41-year-old Kitchener man faces a long list of charges including assault with a weapon.
The by-law officer suffered non-life threatening injuries.
