Overnight closures on the 401 through Ingersoll on Wednesday and Thursday

Expect a slower drive than usual through Ingersoll this evening as a portion of the 401 will be shut down in both directions.
All lanes of the 401 will be closed at Highway 19 starting at 9 p.m. Wednesday, and Highway 19 will also be shut down between Clarke and Curry Roads.
Liane Fisher with MTO says the closures will be in place as crews work on the brand new Highway 19 bridge.
“That bridge was demolished during an overnight closure earlier this month– and these two new overnight closures will be so crews can assemble some pre-constructed sections of the new bridge.”
The closures will be in effect both Wednesday and Thursday nights until 5 a.m., and traffic can use the interchange ramps to detour.
