Laurier graduation features surprise proposal

Yesterday’s graduation at Wilfrid Laurier was a new start in life in more ways than one for a pair of students.
Cheering erupted inside Lazaridis Hall, when Wansu Mao said yes after her boyfriend asked her to marry him.
He knelt down on a staircase landing for the entire hall to see.
When she said yes, he picked her up and twirled her around in her graduation robe.
The grad-groom then acknowledged the cheers of the people below.
