Regional police have shut down an illegal marijuana dispensary in Cambridge.
They searched a business at 184 Samuelson Street yesterday as part of an ongoing drug trafficking investigation.
Officers seized a large amount of cannabis marijuana, cannabis products, as well as a small amount of suspected cocaine, and prescription pills.
Police say this dispensary was operating out of the back of a business, with no signage out front, and may have been an attempt to continue the sales for a dispensary that had already been shut down.
A 29-year-old man and a 21-year-old woman, both from Cambridge, face a number of charges including possession for the purpose of trafficking and possession of a controlled substance.
Police say they want to remind the public that the sale of cannabis marijuana is against the law, unless sold by a business licensed by Health Canada and in accordance with the Marijuana for Medical Purposes Regulation.
