Wellington County OPP say two young girls have been arrested and charged after they broke into an industrial complex, and caused nearly $50,000 worth of damage.
Constable Marylou Schwindt says an employee arrived to the Fergus building on Tuesday afternoon, and found the 14-year-old girls inside.
“The girls were cutting open bags of resin– which is basically a raw plastic material. They opened about 48 bags, and caused between $48,000 and $50,000 worth of damage.”
Schwindt says the girls also emptied two full fire extinguishers, and had broken a rear window to get inside the building.
They both face break and enter and mischief charges, and will appear in Youth Court in June.
