Environment Canada ends thunderstorm watch for Waterloo Region

Hot and humid temperatures swept over Waterloo Region on Thursday, and Environment Canada was warning that they could lead to some severe thunderstorms.
As a result, the national weather authority issued a severe thunderstorm watch for Waterloo Region, Guelph, and our surrounding areas.
After some brief spurts of heavy rain, Environment Canada ended the watch around 8 p.m.
