Regional Police investigating authenticity of Reddit post claiming to be from Ager Hasan

Waterloo Regional Police are investigating the authenticity of a post uploaded to the social media forum site Reddit late Monday night.
A person claiming to be 24-year-old Agar Hasan submitted a three and a half page description about what supposedly happened between himself and 22-year-old Melinda Vasilije.
The post outlines their year long relationship, and claims that after an argument, Vasilije grabbed a knife, Hasan did as well, and ended up stabbing her multiple times.
An autopsy shows that Vasilije died of multiple stab wounds.
Inspector Micheal Haffner tells 570 NEWS that investigators are looking into if the post is real or fake. “The Reddit post has been forwarded to our major crimes unit. That being said, information like this can obviously be used at potential evidence in a court of law.”
A Canada wide warrant has been issued for Ager Hasan in connection to the death of Melinda Vasilije.
The funeral for Vasilije will be held Wednesday afternoon.
