Golf season back in full swing

Golfers in the Region are getting ready for another season.
Two more courses — both in Kitchener — open today and tomorrow.
Doon Valley is set to open today, and Rockway is tentatively scheduled to open Friday.
According to Bob Shane, Manager of Sport Development and Golf, things are all set.
“The greens are looking good; the fairways are sharp. With different storms and ice, sometimes you can get some tree damage and whatnot, but we had a really good winter,” says Shane.
“Actually, I was just out at Doon at the end of last week, when it got its first cut. There’s nothing like looking at the first cut on the course going into the golf season.”
