New pre-apprenticeship programs coming to Conestoga College

Some new funding for Conestoga College.

The province will be investing over $14-million towards 67 training programs this year– which includes launching two new pre-apprenticeship programs at Conestoga College’s Kitchener and Waterloo campuses.

Minister of Advanced Education and Skills Development Deb Matthews was at the College’s Waterloo Campus on Tuesday to announce the funding with MPP for Kitchener-Centre Daiene Vernile, and MPP for Cambridge Kathryn McGarry.

The pre-apprenticeship programs at Conestoga College will be for welders and heavy equipment technicians. It will launch in mid-May.
