A large brawl on St. Patrick’s Day in Waterloo resulted in major injuries for one man.

Waterloo Regional Police say it happened at the intersection of Columbia Street and Phillip Street in Waterloo around 11:15 p.m.

Police say they believe beer bottles were thrown during the fight.

As a result of the fight an 18-year old man was taken to hospital with serious injuries.
